Choices
Everyday, really every minute, we are faced with choices. And each of these choices will have a resulting consequence. For some reason, the word “consequence” has acquired a negative connotation in our language. It simply means: a result or effect of an action or condition (no judgment implied – just a result.)
Today you are invited to put your focus on the impact your actions have in your relationships. We can make choices to use our powers “for good or evil” (so to speak.) Consider the tiniest of choices to the most monumental decisions. Each and every one of those selections made a difference. This morning did you choose to take time to say a loving goodbye to your spouse? What kind of interactions did you have over dinner last night? Do you make eye contact when you and your partner talk?
Making good choices is about more than how much money you are going to save for retirement and when to buy a new car. When you feel powerless to effect a big change in life, start with something small and then repeat it. Your future will be shaped by each and every one of the choices you make no matter how minuscule.
Choices are the hinges of destiny.
