Any successful M-Ds that impress you? (Tony Randall and his wife? Bogey and Bacall?)
Gayle: My mom and step-dad had a 15 year age difference. She was a “cougar” long before we knew what that meant. They had a great relationship. In the famous couple category, Bogey and Bacall had a 25 year age difference, but I never thought of them as a May-December couple, Tony Randall and Heather Harlan with their 50 year age difference showed us how vital an older man can be. But, I think one of my favorites is Clint Eastwood and his wife Dina. There is a 35 year age difference between the two of them. They have a child together, have been married since 1996, and still rock the red carpet when they are together. I also like the Sarandon/Robbins paring. She’s 12 years older and amazingly beautiful. They seem like they are very grounded and secure with each other.
Ron: Gayle is better at that one than I. I would say that Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones appear to be very happy. So do Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore. Gayle’s mother was 15 years older than her step father and I was always impressed that she seemed to be the younger partner. They were together until her death.hat are the pros and cons to an M-D when the women is the one who’s older?
