Is 50 the new 40 or 30?

Some days it just seems like 50 is when you start to feel old, bitchy and itchy!

I’m weary of being told that 50 is the new 30 or 40 or 49 or whatever. I wonder if it isn’t our newest form of denial. And I’m certain it can be more pressure to be more (or less) than we already are.

I’ve been married to Ron for 22 years. On our wedding day, he was about to turn 45 and I had recently celebrated my 30th birthday. Those numbers meant nothing me. We were (and are) so compatible that age just wasn’t a consideration. When he turned 50, I teased him about the AARP literature flooding our mailbox. He took it well and teased back. Would you like to attend a world class workshop in your jammies?

We just got this in our email and are so excited.  We wanted to share it with you.  We are such Hay House fans.  We attended a writer’s workshop with Cheryl Richardson earlier this year.  It was sponsored by Hay House and held on a cruise ship.  Cruising was great, but who has the time or money to do that very often?  Hay House is indeed a class act.  They have now created on-line events through Hay House Radio.  You can attend a workshop in your own living room with a world renowned speaker for 20 bucks!  What a deal.

Gayle’s getting ready to sign up for the workshop conducted by Dr. Christiane Northrup and Ron is planning to attend the Bruce Lipton workshop on the biology of beliefs.  Maybe we’ll “see you” there – we’ll be the ones in our robes and slippers!
